2 Cover Page
Like a traditional book, the Cover Page of a Quarto Manual provides a high-level overview of the manual’s purpose and scope. It is the first page an operator sees when opening the manual, and it should be clear, concise, and informative, and may use images, examples, and other elements to enrich the operator’s understanding of the manual’s content.
This site documents and explains Quarto Manuals as a lightweight framework for executable software operation manuals for three different scientific workflows.
For each project, the documentation will illustrate:
- the minimal starter template that Manual authors ship to End Users;
- the framework rules that make the template a Manual Page;
- the specific use cases and applications of the manual in each workflow;
- full examples showing how the template scales from simple to advanced work.
The examples you’re reading on this rendered website are identical to the rendered output of the project files an End-User should expect after running quarto use template GITHUB_ORG/MANUAL_REPO to use a manual of that type and executing the workflow in their own environment.
